The overwhelming majority of christians are too busy visualizing most of the people they pass on the street day to day as roasting in hell in the future. They think to themselves: "Fuck em, I'm a chrisitian so I'm saved, bugger all these other cunts, they can go to hell as far I'm concerned". Really, JW's are nice people compared to the other deluded fundies :)

Re: Isaiah 40:22

god really sucks

Re: Bewitched

Couldn't read much of this, too spooky, and some of the cartoon text is too small for me. But I get the point you're making anyway.

I am convinced that Jesus Christ did NOT suffer on the Cross and came to Earth to save us from our own wrath, because made in God's image we create every little detail of our life.

Jesus did not have any modern miracles like the Internet or medical science to prove he did not suffer. Way back then the only proof he had for not suffering was to rise from the dead - let people see him walking around again after they saw him dead. Today modern medicine has discovered and defined endorphins as biochemicals hundreds of times more powerful than morphine. So why would Jesus not create a few endorphins to kill the pain during crucifixion??? His whole life he save everyone he saw suffer by performing a miracle. Why would he not save himself from suffering??? It was a no-brainer. He did not have any second thoughts like should I suffer or not suffer?!

That's why I say on my blog that Christianity is upside down. All the fear mongering and brain washing comes from seeing their savior suffering or making suffering purposeful to the extent that if a Christian doesn't suffer, doesn't bear their own cross they wont go to heaven.

Christ came to earth to demonstrate that being made in the image of God means you have the choice to create whatever you want in your life. The tagline on my blog and Jesus' message for human life is, "Joy is certain, death is optional."

Re: Who Killed More People in the Bible?

God Almighty! he is so much powerful than Satan! I take it you are willing to give up your cushy lifestyle to help kids like that? Shouldn't you be selling your computer to cover the plane tickets to get over there and help these people?

The bible says that you should be out there feeding the hungry and clothing the poor. It says you should give up all your possessions to do this sort of thing. Are you doing that or are you a hypocrite?

Regardless, love is an action. God does not take action, so there fore he cannot claim to love kids like the one in that photograph. Love is not leaving things up to other people to do. Love is doing it yourself.

I am willing to admit my love does not extend to doing those things, but then I am no longer a Christian so cannot claim to have "Godly" love. Are you willing to admit that your love does not extend that far?

Re: God’s Amazing Love for Mankind - Part 1

throughout the bible God works through people. What if it was our job to hear God and do his work. But if we refuse God with our actions then his works will never get done. So God tries to work through people but with freewill you don't let God work through you.

Re: Nostalgia for the “Good Old Days”

Wow, I'm exactly at the same stage as you there. But I guess like most, they will gloss over those bits and pretend they didn't read them. Otherwise they'll try to twist them to justify them. One favourit thing is to claim a lot of stuff (like the flat earth) is simply metaphorical. Of course they will ignore the fact that most ancient terms we use today as metaphors came from literal sources originally.

Re: Brother Randy Writes Brother Jeff

Pity Brother Randy wasn't a little more literate, then he might be taken more seriously.

Re: The Bible: What It Is

The problem is, it's just not "absorbant" enough to act as toilet paper. ;)

Re: You Must Be a Christian if…

Brilliant! I admit, some of the observations are very tongue n cheek, but a lot of them were actually quite disturbing for me when I made them at the time I was in the Direct Marketing business. It showed me that a lot of what the church sees as "Christian" is really just "secular" dressed up with different terms. It was a real eye opener.
